Dans la classe de Mr. Chartrand:
Grade 1/2
In Social Studies, the Grade 2’s are presenting their Country Projects. Both groups will be introduced to online mapping and locating their neighbourhood and city landmarks. The Grade 1’s will be creating a 3d model of an urban community and label the buildings and who works in them.
In French, we will begin a new sound the “eu/eur/oeur” this week. Our story will be
“Devine un peu”. In reading, we are continuing on life cycles: “la vie sur l’étang – the life cycle of a frog” and we will also read “Les graines poussent”.
In the classroom, Benchmarking and word wall word testing is ongoing. All of the Grade 2’s are reading at or close to grade level. Almost all of the grade 1’s are accessing text. We will see the last of the word wall words in April and May June will be a review. We will continue to practice book concepts and comprehension.
